Our staff have a philosophy of treating everyone like their own loved ones. Cheery quips and banter are the order of the day.
Our Chairperson and Centre Co-ordinator are qualified trainers in Best Practice in Dementia Care and many of our staff are now qualified in this field. They know all our clients well as individuals and respond effectively to each client, allaying fears, soothing anxieties and helping them to engage with activities which bring them pleasure. Dundee Age Concern understand the challenges and difficulties of living with dementia, the effects of restricted mobility, social isolation and consequently are committed to providing a structured social environment.

Dundee Age Concern were presented with a very special award at a reception in the Scottish Parliament on 2nd of October to celebrate 75 years of national and local people's groups and organisations in Scotland. The award was given to only 4 organisations who Age Scotland had selected as outstanding older people's organisations. Well done all who are or have been part of the great service provided by Dundee Age Concern over the 70 plus years of the organisation.

Ian Watters, Manager of Dundee Age Concern, raised over £1,000. Grateful thanks to everyone to contributed.
