Dundee Age Concern are looking at recruiting additional Trustees.
Ian Watters, DAC manager
At last!!, it has been a long while since I have been able to share positive news, however I am delighted to say Dundee Age Concern are resuming a building-based service with effect from the 06 Apr 2021. All the staff team, volunteers and board members are greatly looking forward to welcoming you back to the Fiveways’ centre and they can’t wait to hear how you have all been during this past year.
That being said, we all must be mindful that, as we begin to emerge on the other side of this difficult time, there is a need for adaptations to, and an acceptance of, necessary changes. You could view it as a return to ‘abnormality’ because no-one is entirely sure of what the social landscape is really going to look like. One thing we can be certain of, is the sustainment of enhanced safety measures, at least until there is an enduring solution to the virus.
There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure we have the appropriate checks and measures in place but ultimately it is about ensuring everyone attending the ‘Fiveways’ remains safe while they get on with enjoying life. There have been centre improvements and upgrades while you have been away, but we will let you discover these for yourself when you return to the good ship ‘Fiveways’.
